I hid my dreams in the back of my mind-- it was the only safe place in the house. From time to time I would take them out & play with them, never daring to reveal them to anyone else because they were so fragile & might get broken. (E . Bombeck)

A portrait of what was being said
There's so much beauty in this piece. For all my loved ones who battle cancer, and the rest of us who are right alongside them, you have so much strength, and you have our strength too.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
- Invictus, William Ernest Henley.
